Esta enfermedad es causada habitualmente por el <\/span><b>virus sincitial respiratorio (VSR),<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> responsable de la mayor\u00eda de los casos de bronquiolitis.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una enfermedad que se caracteriza por s\u00edntomas como: tos, dificultad para respirar, sibilancias, fiebre, y <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.doctoraki.com\/blog\/diccionario-medico\/sintomas\/congestion-nasal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">congesti\u00f3n nasal<\/a><\/strong>. <\/span><b>En beb\u00e9s, especialmente en los menores de 6 meses, la bronquiolitis puede ser grave y requerir hospitalizaci\u00f3n.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Los s\u00edntomas pueden durar de unos pocos d\u00edas a varias semanas, y en algunos casos, pueden persistir durante varios meses.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es importante saber que el tratamiento para la bronquiolitis depende b\u00e1sicamente de la gravedad de los s\u00edntomas. <\/span><b>En casos leves, se recomienda administrar l\u00edquidos para prevenir la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doctoraki.com\/blog\/diccionario-medico\/sintomas\/deshidratacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deshidrataci\u00f3n<\/a> y controlar la fiebre con antipir\u00e9ticos comunes. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En casos m\u00e1s graves, el paciente puede requerir ox\u00edgeno o ventilaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica en el hospital. Puede ser causada por una variedad de factores, como infecciones, exposici\u00f3n a productos qu\u00edmicos t\u00f3xicos o trasplantes de reacci\u00f3n a trasplante de m\u00e9dula \u00f3sea, pulm\u00f3n o coraz\u00f3n-pulm\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adem\u00e1s, existen otros tipos, como la bronquiolitis por aspiraci\u00f3n, que ocurre cuando una sustancia extra\u00f1a, como comida o l\u00edquido, se aspira accidentalmente a los pulmones.
